The Weekly Dump 5.18.18

Like a true nature’s child, we were born to be wild here! This week we’ve got a guy shot dead in his car in the parking lot of the Boardwalk, which comes the day after a kid was beaten up and stabbed across the street from the Boardwalk. We’ve got a felon with a really big gun arrested (not at the Boardwalk but at a motel blocks away), assault weapons being made in Capitola, the questionable ethics of Sandy Brown, the needle and the damage done, dingleberries in Live Oak, drunk motorcyclist taken down, a half pound of meth found on Boulder Creek felon on probation, another head on collision on Highway One, opportunity criminals, another Friday night brawl, bum steals kid’s backpack, a karmic beatdown waiting to happen, napping in the hallway, new treatment center opens in Watsonville, Santa Cruz launches world’s ugliest bike share program, and we celebrate 104 consecutive weeks of keeping Santa Cruz “vibrantly honest”.
